The CSV Hub Project Lead is based in Melbourne, Australia. CSV Hub Coordinators and volunteers are based in Myanmar, and shortly also in the Pacific.
Lucy Delahunty
Child Safe Communications Support Officer, UNICEF, Yangon, Myanmar
Lucy has spent the past six years working in the international development sector coordinating programs with operations across the Indo-Pacific.
Before moving to Yangon, Lucy spent time working on development programs in Australia, Peru, Sri Lanka and Nepal where she worked with partners in the region to mobilise skilled volunteers and scholars. Lucy has experience in partnership and contract management for the delivery of specialised training, and has experience delivering marketing and recruitment campaigns for skilled volunteer programs.
Lucy is currently working with the Child Protection team at UNICEF in Yangon, as Child Safe Communications Support Officer. In her role, Lucy is supporting the work of the local team to implement and advocate for child protection practices in the tourism sector, specifically in the area of voluntourism and residential care. She is also providing communication and coordination support to the broader Child Protection team. Alongside her work with UNICEF, Lucy is working with the Child Safe Volunteer Hub, to bring together stakeholders from across Myanmar and the region, to share best practices in child safe tourism.
Yin Yin Thatun
International Projects Coordinator, Yangon Myanmar
Yin Yin is the focal point for Child Safe Volunteering Hub in Myanmar. Recently completing her Masters’ in Peace and Conflict, Yin Yin has worked in the international development sector for six years, in Myanmar, Thailand, Australia and in Sweden. She is highly experienced in project coordination and partnership management. She has assisted in strengthening and developing Child Protection Policies within different organisations in Myanmar through people-to-people knowledge sharing and capacity strengthening.
In Sweden, she along with her team worked and advocated for women and youth empowerment and inclusion in the area of peace and conflict.
In addition to representing CSV Hub, Yin Yin in her current role helps manage the Sustainable Tourism Hub, and is building an investment fund for female entrepreneurs with disabilities. Her core motivation and focus lies in the positive development of her country in Myanmar, and achieving this by working with and for marginalised population.
